This year I was invited onto the writing team for the Emily Atack Show, which has just been aired on ITV2! Writing something for TV that was filmed during a pandemic feels amazing and the show is just so much fun and such a bright spark.

I’ve been busy recently writing sketches for the legendary Lenny Henry on his new Radio 4 show, The Lenny Henry Show. Tune in every week to hear my sketches, alongside sketches written by other amazingly talented writers including Max Davis, Nathan Bryon, Nathan Roberts, Tom Melia, Kim Fuller, Athena Kugblenu and Benjamin Partridge. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000m13z
One To Watch 2020
Thank you so much to the Edinburgh International Television Festival for selecting me as one of 30 Ones To Watch for 2020. I am incredibly grateful to Charlie Coombes and Phil Gilbert for being my references, and for Saskia Schuster and Campbell Glennie for interviewing me.

WGGB Best Online Comedy 2020
I was shocked last week to be given the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain award for Best Online Comedy 2020 for the second year running, alongside the incredible Hannah George. This year, we won for our BBC Three sketch Side Effects of the Pill. The prize was presented to us by the legendary John Finnemore. I am over the moon. Thank you to everyone who watched the sketch.

Shadowing the Late Late Show
I had the absolute honour of shadowing the Late Late Show with James Corden when they filmed in London last month, thanks to Comedy 50:50 and the whole team at Fulwell 73. Everyone was lovely and I had a blast. The highlight was that on the final day, one of my jokes made it into the monologue and was aired on CBS and Sky One. Thanks to everyone on the production who gave me an absolute dream of a week!
Side Effects of the Pill: BBC Three Sketch
Hannah George and I have been at it again and written another sketch for BBC Three. This one’s called Side Effects of the Pill. Hope you like it!
Best Online Comedy Winner at WGGB Awards
Hannah George and I won Best Online Comedy at the Writers Guild of Great Britain awards on Monday for our sketch “Where are you from: The Game”. The event was fantastic and it was unbelievable receiving an award in front of some of my writing heroes such as Russell T Davies, Armando Iannucci and Mackenzie Crook. It was less fantastic when moments after receiving the award, I fell up the stairs in front of an auditorium full of my writing heroes, but if Jennifer Lawrence can recover from that then so can I.
Inbetweeners Fwends Reunited
On New Year’s Day, Channel 4 broadcast the much anticipated Inbetweeners 10 Year Reunion Special: Fwends Reunited. This was especially exciting for me as I was one of the writers on the show. I wrote a series of short advert break buffers defining phrases and words from the show, such as Clunge and Jugasaurus Rex. These were animated beautifully by Terry Saunders and voiced by the legendary Miriam Margolyes.
Writers’ Guild Award Nomination
I’m ecstatic to announce that the sketch I wrote with Hannah George, Where Are You From: The Game, for BBC Three has been nominated for a Writers’ Guild Award in the Best Online Comedy category. I’m over the moon. The award ceremony will be in January.
Apu Contest Update
I was honoured to receive second place in Adi Shankar’s Apu screenwriting contest. The winner was recently announced in Indiewire and Adi had some incredible kind words to say about me as well:
“Shankar also named a second place winner: Tasha Dhanraj, a London-based comedy writer represented by Emily Wraith at Berlin Associates. The producer said he hasn’t 100 percent ruled out producing that script as well, but mostly he wanted to acknowledge Dhanraj’s “incredible talent.”
